Somahng Presbyterian Church is seeking a part-time Pre-K Ministry Director who has a heart for young children and families and can help provide a welcoming, Christ-centered Sunday ministry environment.

Our Pre-K Ministry currently serves approximately 15 children, ages 18 months through 4 years old. Children ages 18 months through 3 years old participate alongside their parents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare the weekly Sunday Pre-K worship/service.

• Prepare age-appropriate Bible lessons, activities, crafts, and other Sunday programming.

• Create a welcoming and engaging environment for young children and their families.

• Coordinate the flow and schedule of the Sunday ministry.

• Work together with teachers, volunteers, and church leadership as needed.

• Attend a pastoral/staff meeting on one weekday each week.

• Help support the spiritual growth of children and families within the Pre-K ministry.

Preferred Qualifications

• A heart for children’s ministry and a desire to help young children grow in their understanding of God.

• Previous church or ministry experience preferred.

• Experience working with young children is preferred.

• Ability to communicate well with parents, volunteers, and church staff.

• Ability to speak both English and Korean is preferred.

• Responsible, organized, and able to prepare Sunday ministry materials independently.

Position: Part-Time Pre-K Ministry Director
Age Group: 18 months–4 years old
Average Attendance: Approximately 15 children
Schedule: Sundays plus one weekday pastoral/staff meeting
Compensation: $1,000 per month
